Springbrook National Park in NSW and QLD is divided along the state border, as part of the McPherson Range and it is one of Australia's most beautiful mountain landscapes. Formed 2500 million years ago, the "Mount Warning," plateau was created by the eruption of basalt lava and is now home to one of the world's a unique ecosystems. UNESCO World Heritage Listed "Gondwana Rainforest" (the world's largest tropical rainforest protected area) is among the three remnants of the ancient continental Gondwana forest that has existed for 3 billion years.
